Andrew Paterson Andy was raised in east London before moving to south-west London where he met and married Kath. After graduating from Durham University he qualified as a professional librarian, serving the housebound of Wandsworth. During this time he pastored Summerstown Mission Evangelical Church, before serving under Bev Savage at the Slade, Plumstead. In 1988 he, Kath and their two children moved to Bristol to serve Kensington. He was FIEC national president from 2001-2004, and visits and teaches widely within the UK and abroad. His years of suffering as a lifelong Spurs fan are only relieved by his love of all sorts of music and by sampling the varied delights of food in Easton.
Mark Detzler After studying in Bristol Mark and his family spent 10 years in Italy where they were involved in church planting and evangelism. Mark divides his time between Kensington and his work in education. He is primarily concerned with mentoring and developing leaders both from the UK and from around the world.
Steve Wilmshurst Steve grew up in London and studied in Cambridge, after which he had a ‘first career’ in the nuclear industry. In 1998 he took voluntary severance and did three years of theological training at Trinity College, Cambridge. Since 2001 he has been on the staff at Kensington in various capacities, most recently as Director of Training. In this role he is involved in preaching and training, including the supervision of our ministry apprentices. He also teaches at various other institutions. In 2008 his commentary on Revelation, The Final Word, was published by Evangelical Press – based on a recent sermon series at Kensington. Steve also manages Easton Jubilee Trust, a registered charity which grew out of the church’s concern to reach out to the local ‘new arrival’ communities. Steve is married to Andrea and they have two daughters who are both at secondary school.
